SECURING OUR ECITY
Securing Our eCity is a non-profit initiative sponsored by ESET anti-virus software.
Think of it as a 21st century neighborhood watch program for the
online community.
In the same way that a neighborhood keeps watch for suspicious activities in their community, SOeC works to raise awareness through educational workshops that are provided at no cost to businesses, organizations and/or community groups who have a need and/or desire to help their constituents
work or play safe in the connected world.
It is now a nationally recognized organization with other 160 stakeholders (including DHS, SDSU, Cubic Corp., SDPD, UCSD, SDG&E, and many others).

WORKSHOPS
Golden State Web Solutions is now working with SOeC to host cyber-awareness workshops throughout San Diego County. Workshops are offered at no cost to the host or participants, and allows everyone to become more involved in educating the participants of the risks of being online, and what they can do to best protect themselves.
Workshops are approximately one-hour in duration. The session includes both a pre and post assessment of the participant's understanding of the cybercrime threat and actions they should or should not take to help keep safe. During the presentation, real life case studies are shared as examples.
Hosts are encouraged to promote the event, and work to fill it with visitors who fall within their key demographics, making it an educational and engaging event that benefits all parties involved.
For additional details and/or to request a workshop, please contact Dave Tuckman directly at dave@GSWS.com, 619-905-4468 or complete the online request form here.
We look forward to speaking with you.
